Flat Out Fabulous: Slip-on Shoe Edit
Today I am coming back to you with a very unusual post, as these three pairs of flats are not something Sophia, the Master of Platformed Black Boots usually goes for.
However, as spring is bashfully and slowly fighting its way with warmer weather and sunshine, the urge to get your ankles naked, free and breathing again might be impossible to resist.
I purchased all of these on one sunny day, during a random 'I'll walk into that shop because I am bored' shopping spree. I opted for comfy, trendy and elegant and these babies ticked all the boxes for me.
Who knows, I might even become a flats lover now?
Pointy shoes are always a big 'YAS' for me, as they elongate my tiny hobbit feet and give a less sneaker-like feel to flats. This sassy pair throws it all together - the velvety material, a bow and silver toes for the ultimate fashionista look. Being elegant and free from high-heel torture? That deserves a a round of applause.
A bit more sporty, but still keeping with the blinding mermaidy attitude. The photo does not do it justice, but the textured metallic foil gleams in the sun with golds, silvers and turquoises, providing the eye-catching element to any 'all black everything' outfit. Don't worry, wearing black is accepted all year round, as long as you have those badass Michael-Jackson-on-crack shoes on.
Finally, the comfiest and most casual, found and bought in a supermarket (!) on a total whim, while waiting for my mum to get the right ham and a yearly supply of yoghurts. Very inexpensive, which makes them a perfect pair to wear to death, throw away and buy something new. They go best with jeans and a crisp white shirt for me, but it's only your imagination holding you back here - I could easily style them with my dressing gown too.
What shoes will you be wearing this Spring? Are you trying something new or sticking to the good old and known? Let me know!
Kisses,
