Post Workout Berry Oatmeal Smoothie

It's that time of the year, when we all reach for filling breakfasts to make our tummies happy. But what about those mornings, when you want to feel energised, but not necessarily by eating a bowl of heavy porridge?

Most days I eat different variations of banana porridge for breakfast, but today, after my run, my body was craving something lighter, yet still satisfying. This smoothie kept me full till lunch, without making me want to crawl back into bed, as porridge sometimes does.

I whipped up this deliciousness in my blender and had to share it with you guys immediately - it's full of nutritious ingredients and tastes heavenly!

Make sure you give it a try;)

You will need:

1 banana
handful of frozen blueberries (other frozen fruit will work just as fine)
1 cup of milk
2 tbsp of millet flakes (if you can't get hold of them, use any bran or porridge oats you have in your cupboard)
1 tsp of peanut butter
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
drizzle of honey for added sweetness (taste it first, it was already sweet enough for me)

Once you have all your ingredients, pop them into your blender and blend till they're all smoothly combined.

Enjoy!

PS: I hope these greyish photos are not discouraging, the gloomy English weather would not let me capture the beutiful lilac colour! :(

Kisses,
