Last outfit of mine- unfortunately couldn't snap it as I had too much luggage to even get my camera out!
Hello summer festivallers! Sorry for not being consistent with my work, but because of my real work I cannot function like a normal person any more. That is why my festival post is like almost a month late and I do apologise for it. Although it happened quite some time ago, I'm still living it cause festivals are probably the best events on Earth. So, I can tell you everything in details are relive it one more time:)
You might be wondering why is there only this little photos and not even one of them comes from the actual festival. All the complaints need to go to the Open'er board, which bans any camera that is more than 6x zoom from getting into the festival field. So, unfortunately, my outfit posts are also going to be from the "outside", but hopefully it isn't such a huge problem. It was to me and I still am very bitter about it, but what can you do, need to stick to the regulations.
The festival itself was not as bombastic fantastic as last year, I must admit. The lack of bands I would worship, look forward to or even know or listen to was kind of painful, as the emotions at the concerts weren't as big as, let's say Kings of Leon last year, whom I am a huge fan and admirer of. However, I obviously still went to concerts and managed to discover a great band I would never imagine could give one of the best concerts I have ever attended- HAIM! A similar thing happened with Domowe Melodie, Foals, Warpaint, Lykke Li and Rudimental- I really loved their performances. So, all in all, music wise, I was very pleased and surprises were a great thing but I still missed one little concert I could scream all the lyrics out;)
Food was amazing obviously, as I love burgers, pizzas and other stuff you can grab at festivals, but this time around money turned out to be quite an issue- all the prices went significantly up this year so we had to eat out and look for cheaper alternatives in Gdynia (the town which organises Open'er). I also took some time to discover other attractions except for music and food and I went to see a fashion show. It was one from Maciej Sieradzky, a young polish designer who I watched and supported on the first Polish edition of "Project Runway". I enjoyed seeing his clothes "live", as some of them I already knew from the show. He also had his casual DZKY collection there to buy, but it was a bit out of my price range unfortunately.
Overall, I loved Open'er this year and I probably always will- the atmosphere, the vibe you cannot get anywhere else makes it a totally magical place. The whole thing takes place near to the sea so you can go and get another summer holiday experience while still being at a festival:) I would reccomend going to anyone who wants to visit Poland anyway, I think it shows our country and nation from our best side haha;)
The next post is going to be my first festival outift- can't wait to share it with yalll!
Kisses and hugs,
you're so lovely ;*
