Springy/Summery nail polish basket: my favourites!
I've decided to divide my enormous (well, it's not THAT huge) nail polish collection into little sets, according to the time of year. I had to take this step mainly because I got addicted to one color and started wearing it non-stop. The other ones were quite sad about this and that is how my spring/summer colored basket came into being! Hopefully, you'll like how I chose the colors- in my opinion they literally scream: "spring! summer! festivals" I'm going to be talking about my collection in three parts, as the majority of the polishes comes only from two brands- the third section is a mix of some other ones.
Enjoy!
All of these polishes are from the Clubbing Miss Sporty collection- unfortunately they don't have neither names nor numbers:(
First of all- my all time favourite Miss Sporty polishes! Whenever I'm in a drugstore, I'm always magically drawn to these- they have amazing colors, sometimes even special collections like metallic or sparkly ones and they retail only for 5-6 zł (which is around one pound). The majority of them has quite a satisfying quality and a big brush which is always a bonus for me. The first one from the left is my favourite blue ever- it reminds me of the prettiest sky color in the summer, it's pretty opaque and looks great with white clothes. The other blue you can see above is slightly darker than in the picture- I'm not sure if I am getting it right, but to me it's an indygo/cobalty color. It looks amazing with a bit of tan and a summer evening dress:) The lilac one is one of my prettiest nail varnishes- I can stare at it all day long. I love it especially with the company of girly outfits. The last one is a completely different story- I think that a break from pastels is obligatory sometimes. This one would be wonderful for a summer festival, with grungy, dark clothes and lips.
All Essence Colour&Go (the middle one has the previous packaging): from left to right- 106 free hugs/ 63 think pink/115 redvolution
My first thought when I looked at this combination was: "Mean girls!", the Barbie one being obviously Regina, haha. This is the newest addition to my collection and I actually haven't worn it yet. I love how cold the tone is, as I usually go for warmer pinks (however, a true pink lover has to have all of them, am I right?). The middle one I find pretty hard to describe- it's definitely a warm, coraly pink but what more can I say here? Unfortunately, it is probably one of my oldest ones and it recently started to go gloupy:/ The last one has to be my favourite one for summer- I often wear it on my feet as I makes me feel like I'm on a holiday- it has this beachy, Carribean vibe to it. My skin is on the pale side but it's a perfect orangy red for slightly tanned ladies. I could not possibly make a post about Essence products without mentioning the amazing new packagings- my favourite of every other cheap drugstore brands. It's very easy to work with, has a massive brush, goes on very smoothly. The formula is also perfect- I need only one coat to make it look all right.
(Clockwise): Astor- 320/ My Secret- 148 Mint/ Miss Selene- 161/ Golden Rose rich color- 52/ Sephora- full moon party.
That is the mixed group I mentioned before. I love all of them equally, but I have been wearing the pale pink one by Golden Rose TO DEATH! It is very easy to use, again has a wider brush which helps to equally apply it all over your nail. The photo does not show the color properly, unfortunately- it's a gorgeous, powdery, pale pink- looks great with light washed denim. The purple one is a definite nighttime one- it catches the eye and is quite unique I think. The blue and violet sparkles in it make the polish a perfect party addition to the outfit. I do not wear yellows very often but I do try to incorporate this particular one a bit more- it is sooo summery, sunny and instantly brings a smile to the face- perfect for cloudy days! The pink one is a must when trying to put a pop of color into a dull outfit- I wear it when I go all black and the effect is stunning. For some bizzare reason it reminds me of childhood and bubblegum, haha. Last but not least, the great trend of 2013- minty babe;) I am actually surprised that it's still in there, as I wore it everyday throughout the whole summer season last year. It is cute and fresh, goes practically with everything.
That is it for my nail polish blog post- hopefully you'll find it interesting:)
Kisses,
